Silver-beaked Tanager

The Silver-beaked Tanager is quite common and widespread in forested areas in Trinidad. With strong side lighting the velvety head and chest feathers assume a rich burgundy red. Even more striking is the colour of the lower mandible which, with some imagination, could be described as silver.
