Telescope Mirror Making Workshop

Because of the popularity and success of the first mirror making workshop a second mirror making workshop will also be offered for 6 weeks where you will be taught to grind, polish and figure a 150 mm f/6 Newtonian telescope.   The Foucault method will be taught to test your optics. The whole optical tube assembly will be touced on including the aluminum tube, the mirror cell, secondary spider and dovetail plate for an equatorial mount. You will learn all the techniques to enable you to make an optic that will surpass a store bought one.

Tuition is $199.There will be a material fee of $59 Limit of 12-15 students. It will be held at the Living Arts Centre. (Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe)Mississauga on Wednesday January 8/2020 from 7-10 pm.
